I have been interested in painting for many years but did not make the
time to pursue this endeavor until I retired.
I started doing the usual flowers and landscapes because I felt that I was
not precise enough to paint portraits. Then I fell into the happy mistake of
narrative painting. You can tell what the story is in most of my more recent paintings, or you can make up your own story to go with the painting.
It doesn’t matter as long as you are entertained or amused.
I enjoy every aspect of painting from choosing the subject to mixing the
colors and putting the paint to canvas. And who knows, I may find another
“happy mistake.”
